The Art of Thinking Clearly

by Rolf Dobelli

Impressions & Takeaways

This book is like little nuggets for the different thinking errors we fall victim to. While reading through each section, it was easy to make the connections between my own life and experiences and these cognitive biases.

But what I missed, what I feel the book was lacking, was teaching people how to avoid these thinking errors. I felt like it only pointed out the problems, rather than offering solutions. Perhaps I am asking for too much from this book. But it definitely left me with an “incomplete” feeling. I’d recommend reading it for the sake of understanding, but not for tools to help you avoid these thinking errors.
