I was hoping to get more out of this book that I think I did. But maybe it’s my conclusion that makes this book valuable… and that is, this book attempts to teach people how to think about things in more linear way. In a way that allows us to see how things are interconnected; how to find root cause; and how to think of things as a whole, rather than in isolated pieces.
As a Web dev, a lot of this made sense. Systems thinking is at the core of what we do as Web developers. But I also didn’t feel like I had a true eureka moment. I think I went in expecting something different from what this book attempts to address. But in the end, it is definitely a great primer to learning how to see how things from new perspectives, the interconnectedness of the world and how to approach solving problems differently.
